Do you need musicians for your event or private celebration? The Mainz School of Music at JGU can provide soloists, vocal and chamber ensembles, jazz groups or even large orchestras - just get in touch with your needs. Our referral service is free of charge for you!
Numerous societies and alumni groups on the degree course, subject or departmental level are part of our network.
Careers & continuing education
The JGU Career Service offers students and graduates a broad range of advice and support options to help them successfully embark on their careers.
We plan to make the shared student job portal of JGU and the Mainz University of Applied Sciences accessible to Gutenberg alumni. Work in progress!
The JGU Center for Continuing Education (ZWW) provides a vast array of services. Holders of JGU’s Mainz AlumniCard can receive a discount on the cost of any course fees. Please ask about this when you register! Note that we cannot guarantee that places on courses will be available.
Culture and leisure program
The Botanic Garden of JGU offers a comprehensive program of events and tours.
Gutenberg alumni also can take part in enchanting evening tours on request (fee charged).
Sing or play in the UniChoir, UniOrchestra or one of the other various ensembles of the long-established Collegium musicum directed by Prof. Felix Koch. Gutenberg alumni welcome!
‘Studying at 50plus’ is geared primarily toward those who have retired from an active professional life or have finished raising their children and would like to continue to explore academic subjects and take advantage of what the university has to offer.
